FirstStop Advice
FirstStop Advice is an independent, impartial and free service offering advice and information to older people, their families and carers about housing and care options for later life. The service is provided by Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) in partnership with a number of other national and local organisations, and brings together a wealth of expertise to help older people explore the options and choices open to them. We can provide specialist help on any aspect of care, support or housing for elderly people, including financial issues as well as statutory rights and entitlements. A growing network of affiliated FirstStop Local services bring additional local knowledge, and in many cases can offer face-to-face advice including home visits. It is therefore our aim to now work closely with national and local partners who want to further develop the FirstStop model.

We are the leading organisation providing integrated health and wellbeing services for older people across all of Berkshire, a local independent charity and part of the Age UK brand.
We also assist with on-line grocery shopping for anyone who struggles with shopping.
Easy Shop is provided by Age UK Berkshire in association with local supermarkets to give you regular and reliable supermarket grocery shopping delivered to your home. If you find it difficult to get to the shops, Easy Shop is designed for you.
One of our team will visit you in your own home and set up the system for you.
We will then telephone you at an agreed time to take your shopping list.
We will place your order with the supermarket of your choice and arrange for them to deliver at a pre-arranged time.In addition to the cost of your shopping Age UK Berkshire make a charge of £6 each time we order your shopping, for arranging the service.
The supermarkets may also make a small charge for delivery. But we know this is much more cost-effective than paying a Care Worker to do your shopping for you (which may cost as much as £40), so Easy Shop at £6 each time is cheaper and highly-recommended by our customers
